Teachers' Retirement System

The Teachers Retirement System of the City of New York (TRS) was established as of August 1, 1917 under Chapter 303 of the Laws of 1917. The System is governed under Title 13, Chapter 4 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York.  TRS covers all the teachers and administrative personnel employed by the Board of Education and certain employees of the City University of New York.
