New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. last night honored individuals of Asian and Pacific Island descent for their accomplishments at his 2004 Asian/Pacific Island Heritage Celebration at Surrogate’s Court in Manhattan.

The honorees were: Le Lieu Browne, President, Refugee Women’s Council; Kwang S. Kim, President, Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York; Howard H. Lee, President, World Journal; Leon Y. Lee, President, Professional Business College; Alfred V. Madrid, First Vice President and General Manager, Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company; and, Suki Terada Ports, Executive Director, Family Health Project.  The program included a special performance by the students atthe New York Chinese School in Manhattan.
