The new Bureau of Economic Development will streamline operations to make them more efficient and more effective – and deliver on initiatives proposed in Comptroller Liu’s State of the City address
All existing economic growth and development initiatives across the Comptroller’s office will now be under the direction of Deputy Comptroller Kim.
“Creating jobs and investing in the City’s infrastructure are critical to the economic health of New York City and its people,” Comptroller Liu said. “Mark has played a leading role in our efforts to improve the City’s public financing, save taxpayers money, and expand opportunities for talented minority and women owned businesses. I know he will bring that same energy and enthusiasm to broadening our economic development efforts.”
I am honored by this appointment and share the Comptroller’s dedication to growing our economy and investing in the future of New York City and its people,” Kim said. “I look forward to the opportunity to build upon Comptroller Liu’s accomplishments.”
