SCHLOSS NAMED “LARGE PUBLIC FUND MANAGER
OF THE YEAR” BY INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR
MAGAZINE
NEW YORK, NY – City Comptroller John C. Liu and Deputy Comptroller for Asset Management / Chief Investment Officer Larry Schloss made the following statements about Schloss‟ selection as “Large Public Fund Manager of the Year” by Institutional Investor Magazine:
New York City Comptroller John Liu:
“Larry has been nothing but stellar in his execution of duties and management of our Pension Funds since the day he started as Chief Investment Officer. On behalf of our office and my fellow Pension Board Trustees let me say congratulations to Larry and his entire team for this recognition. This award is truly well-deserved and I suspect, only the beginning of things to come.”
Deputy Comptroller for Asset Management / Chief Investment Officer Larry Schloss:
“This is not an award for me, but rather for the team of hard working men and women of the Bureau of Asset Management. The „BAM-mers‟ are some of the most dedicated individuals I have ever had the pleasure to work with and I am fortunate to have such a diverse team of long-tenured professionals. As the worldwide financial capital, New York City employees deserve nothing but the best when it comes to managing their pension plan. With the support of our Boards of Trustees, we have accomplished a great deal in a relatively short amount of time, and I look forward to building on those accomplishments as we move forward. I would like to also thank Comptroller Liu for providing me with this incredible opportunity. As a life-long New Yorker, this has truly been an honor and a privilege.”
