Non-profit, nationwide human services organization provides broad spectrum of programs that support unique, essential needs of all who work in entertainment/performing arts. Addiction Institute of New York/Crystal Clear Project
State-of-the-art, evidence-based treatment facility provides widest range of treatment programs/services. Adolescents to seniors, male and female, all treatment modalities. LGBT-friendly. See website for additional programs/locations.

Adolescent AIDS Program (Risk Evaluation Program), Children's Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center
Comprehensive care for HIV+ youth, 13-24, and free HIV counseling, testing and STD screening for ages 13-21. Other services include outreach, community development, research and training.

AHRC Sobriety Services PEIR Program
Support group for adults with MR/DD and/or mental illness diagnosis who identify as LGBTQ. Meets Wednesdays, 5 pm.

AIDS Center of Queens County
Direct services for people infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Services include; case management, legal advocacy, housing support, prevention/education and outreach, licensed mental health and harm reduction/syringe exchange.

AIDS Home Care Program
Program of Visiting Nurse Regional Care. AIDS/HIV services include skilled nursing, personal care workers, social workers, nutritionist, pastoral care, physical therapy, behavioral health, high-tech services, covering Manhattan and Brooklyn. ADAP, Medicaid, Medicare, other insurances. 501c3 not-for-profit.

Information, counseling, referrals available 7 days, 9 am–9 pm.

AIDS Institute, New York State Department of Health
Created by legislative action to coordinate state response to HIV/AIDS. Plans, funds, evaluates prevention/healthcare programs, educates public/healthcare providers, develops policy.

Non-profit service organization improves quality of life for individuals infected/affected by HIV.

AIDS Service Center NYC
HIV/AIDS services, support, counseling, peer education, housing and entitlements assistance, treatment adherence support, HIV testing, basic needs (food and clothing bank), case management.

AIDS Treatment Data Network (The Network)
Non-profit, community-based. Info on treatment, referral/case management services, counseling to people with HIV/AIDS and care providers. All services free; offered in English and Spanish.

Comprehensive HIV/AIDS services.

Alianza Dominicana
HOPE (Holistic Orientation and Preventive Education Services) program. Education/outreach, LGBT component. Established AIDS education/prevention program, targeted to adolescents due to documented high incidences of substance abuse, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections and referrals only. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
Leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to understanding/ preventing suicide through research/education and reaching out to people with mood disorders and those impacted by suicide.

American Indian Community House
NYC’s only Native American urban center. Mission is to improve the well being of urban American Indians.

American Social Health Association (ASHA)
Provides information, materials and referrals on sexually transmitted infections, including herpes, HIV/AIDS and HPV. Comprehensive info available on website.

ARCS
Community-based agency serves Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Putnam, Ulster, Sullivan counties. Prevention education, case management, support, transportation, food pantry for individuals infected/affected by HIV/AIDS.

Arms Acres
145-bed licensed facility, providing inpatient treatment for those suffering from addiction to alcohol or drugs. Situated on tranquil 54-acre site in Putnam County, NY, 90 miles north of NYC.

Association of Lesbian & Gay Affirmative Psychotherapists (ALGAP)
Non-profit. Affirming, effective, affordable psychotherapy for NYC’s LGBT community that respects/supports individuals’ sexual orientation/gender identity, in private offices around NYC.

Bellevue Adolescent HIV/AIDS (TOPS Clinic)
Support, confidential HIV testing, pre-/post-test counseling, complete medical evaluation/care, clinical treatment for youth 12–24. By appointment for infected/uninfected/status unknown.

Education, networking, and advocacy for community health improvement and health justice. Offers workshops on topics for pregnant and new mothers on healthy pregnancy, baby care, and family planning. Publishes free daily e-newsletter with news and resources on health research, medical/health services, community events, funding opportunities.
