A national organization fighting for equality under U.S. immigration law for LGBT, and HIV-positive individuals. Provides free legal counsel to LGBT/HIV-positive immigrants and advocates for policy changes to end the discrimination their clients face. Focuses its legal services in three main areas: recognition for binational (American/foreign national) families, detention and asylum.

Just Detention International
A nonprofit health and human rights organization that seeks to end sexual abuse in all forms of detention. The organization has three core goals: to hold government officials accountable for prisoner rape; to change ill-informed public attitudes about sexual violence behind bars; and to ensure that those who have survived such abuse get the help they need.
Anyone who has experienced any form of sexual harm in custody-including sexual harassment, sex in exchange for protection, sexual assault, etc-is encourage to contact us for support and a packet of information and materials. Legally Queer
Ongoing weekly support group for LGBT young people, 18-24, to explore/address questions about sexual orientation, gender identy/expression, coming out to family/friends, other issues relative to healthy development. Setting is welcoming and caring, all services free. Participants must register and be interviewed by group facilitator, an LCSW.

LPSS, Inc. (Lambda Peer Support Services)
All volunteer, not for profit 501 (c)(3) organization, serving LGBTQ community of Westchester County/ surrounding areas since 1985. Workshops, on going/short-term support groups, "Holiday Connections" activities, other programs. All support groups are conducted by trained peer facilitators under the supervision of certified clinicians. Strives to foster sense of community, erase stereotypes and to address the affects of homophobia, discrimination, prejudice.
National Lawyers Guild-Queer Caucus
Caucus acts as network of LGBT Guild members and serves as a voice for LGBT issues within NLG, sponsors forums, engages in public education projects, supports legislation, produces Sexual Orientation and Law (published by WestGroup), co-sponsors Thomas Steel Summer Law Student Fellowship.
