For members of the LGBTQIA+ community, connecting to services geared towards their needs can be a challenge. This Guide is intended to help individuals better understand the resources available, from hundreds of community organizations and health care facilities to counseling and support groups, recreational clubs, and much more.

    ASC is a multi-service human rights agency dedicated to assisting immigrants, refugees, and asylees from across the African Diaspora. Programs address the needs of newcomers affected by war, persecution, poverty, and other global health inequities. ASC provides health, housing, legal, social welfare, education, nutrition, and advocacy services to more than 12,000 people in New York City and Ethiopia.

    Program strives to provide supportive services, educational sessions, and a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-24, especially those who are experiencing or at risk of becoming homeless. They are provided with hot meals, snacks, and the opportunity to shower and receive hygiene products whenever needed, and both recreational/educational activities.

    Amida Care is a private, nonprofit community health plan that specializes in providing comprehensive health coverage and coordinated care to Medicaid members with chronic conditions, including HIV/AIDS and behavioral health disorders. We currently serve9,360 members throughout the five boroughs of New York City, including people living with HIV/AIDS; people who are experiencing homelessness, regardless of HIV status; and people of transgender experience, regardless of HIV status.
