(New York, NY) – New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer today announced the appointment of Eneasz Kądziela CFA, CAIA to Head of Private Equity in the Bureau of Asset Management (BAM), effective immediately. As Head of Private Equity, Kądziela will oversee the five NYC Retirement pension systems’ over $18 billion private equity portfolio supporting the retirement of the city’s public employees.

Kądziela joined the Comptroller’s Office in 2015 and has served as a Senior Investment Officer since 2017. Previously, he was the Director of Research & Fund Relations for the Small Business Investor Alliance.

“I am pleased to announce the promotion of Eneasz Kądziela, a diligent portfolio manager and dedicated investment professional for the City of New York, to Head of Private Equity in the Bureau of Asset Management,” said Comptroller Scott M. Stringer. “Eneasz has been a valuable member of the Comptroller’s Office — I know he will continue to build on his success in managing the private equity portfolio and leading the PE investment team within the Bureau of Asset Management while safeguarding the pension funds of New Yorkers.”

Before joining the Comptroller’s Bureau of Asset Management in March 2015, Kądziela was Director of Research & Fund Relations for the Small Business Investor Alliance, working to strengthen the small business community and promote its market growth within the private equity industry. Prior to that, Kadziela held various advisement positions in the financial sector, including at Cross Research Group, Raymond James, and Iris Software.

Kądziela holds a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University and earned a CAIA certification in 2014, as well as a CFA certification in 2015.

“Eneasz’s extensive private equity experience and deep commitment to the mission of the Bureau of Asset Management make him an ideal leader for this role,” said Alex Doñé, Deputy Comptroller for Asset Management & Chief Investment Officer. “I look forward to continuing to work with Eneasz on our Senior Management team and I am confident that he will lead the PE portfolio into continued success.”
