RFP for Statutory 50-h Hearing and Ancillary Services for the Adjustment of Personal Injury, Property Damage, and Labor and Employment Claims

Purpose of RFP

The Comptroller’s Office invites qualified law firms to submit proposals for the provision of oral examinations in accordance with New York General Municipal Law (“GML”) 50-h (“50-h hearings”). These 50-h hearings, along with independent medical examinations when appropriate, are used to assist in investigating tort claims filed against the City of New York (“City”) and its agencies. The ancillary services to be provided include, but are not limited to, the provision of hearing transcriptions, preparation of abstracts, and translation services. It is the intent of the Comptroller’s Office to award contracts to up to twenty-five (25) law firms under this RFP.

Pre-Proposal Conference

Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 2:30 PM. Registration is required in order to attend. Please download the RFP for details.  Attendance is strongly encouraged but is not mandatory to propose on the contract described in this RFP.

Submission Deadline

March 29, 2023, by 5:00 PM. Incomplete Proposals may be deemed non-responsive. Please download the RFP for proposal submission requirements.

Questions
All questions regarding this RFP may be submitted in writing to 50hRFP@comptroller.nyc.gov no later than 5:00PM on March 22, 2023. Please include “PIN 01523BLA66814 50-h Hearing RFP” in the subject line of any e-mail sent to the address above.

In the event the Comptroller’s Office determines that it is necessary to respond to the inquiry in writing, such response will be furnished as an addendum to the RFP to all potential proposers known to have downloaded the RFP. All addenda will be available on the Comptroller’s website. It is the proposer’s responsibility to check the website regularly for any updates and addenda to this solicitation. In order to receive email notifications regarding this solicitation, proposers must register and download this RFP on the Comptroller’s website.
