Construction or Other Contract Related Claims

Contractors or vendors seeking to file a construction or contract related claim should consult their contracts and applicable laws for procedures, the required content of a notice of claim, and applicable timelines.

The Office of the Comptroller cannot accept service of a notice of claim via email and currently does not have electronic filing for construction or contract related claims. We do accept notices of claim sent via registered or certified mailed* and in person filing.

*For non-tort, construction, or contract related claims ONLY: The Comptroller’s Office will accept service of non-tort, construction, or contract related claims by commercial carrier with a tracking number, such as UPS or FedEx.
