Claims served by personal delivery or by registered or certified mail must be notarized and delivered within 90 days from the date of occurrence to:

To file a non-tort claim (meaning not a personal injury, property damage, or labor and employment claim) by personal delivery or by mail, please use the appropriate claim form from the following list:

Contractors or vendors seeking to file a construction or contract related claim should consult their contracts and applicable laws for procedures, the required content of a notice of claim, and applicable timelines.

The Office of the Comptroller cannot accept service of a notice of claim via email and currently does not have electronic filing for construction or contract related claims. We do accept notices of claim sent via registered or certified mailed* and in person filing.
