A More Equitable NYC

Community Engagement

In addition to conducting critical analyses of the inequities New York City faces, the Comptroller’s office engages with communities to better understand and confront them. Through conferences, round tables, panel discussions, and heritage celebrations, our office helps communities to leverage resources and remove barriers to access.

Annual Diverse and Emerging Managers Investment Conference

The annual Diverse and Emerging Managers Investment Conference provides an opportunity to gain insight into the guiding principles and priorities of the New York City pension funds for diverse and emerging managers.

Prevailing Wage Council

The Prevailing Wage Council brings together City agencies, labor and workers’ rights leaders, and contractors with the Comptroller Office’s Bureau of Labor Law and Workers’ Rights team to discuss strategies and initiatives for upholding New York labor protections and ensure a level playing field for all.

Celebrations & Heritage Events

The Comptroller’s Office works year-round to uplift communities with heritage events that celebrate the City’s rich diversity and connect constituents with the resources and tools of the office.

Roundtables & Panels

The Comptroller’s Office brings together community groups, elected officials, business leaders, and other New York City stakeholders to tackle hard-hitting topics and identify strategic solutions to address disparities and advance opportunity in New York City.
