Statement from NYC Comptroller Lander on MTA Board’s Approval of Congestion Pricing

New York, NY – New York City Comptroller Brad Lander issued the following statement:

“After nearly five years of gridlock, the MTA board finally paved the way for congestion pricing in New York City. Congestion pricing will ease traffic, cut carbon emissions, and provide our beleaguered transit system with the resources it needs to modernize signals, boost accessibility, and serve more riders. New York City cannot wait to get moving!”
