Statement Of New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer On Proposed Safety Measures At East 91st Street Marine Transfer Station

Community residents and stakeholders have made a compelling case that a planned access ramp that cuts through the center of Asphalt Green creates a needlessly hazardous condition for thousands of families. I stand with the Yorkville community in calling on the Administration to move the ramp to a safer location, which would greatly reduce the potential for pedestrian-vehicular conflicts and ensure that all children can continue to safely enjoy this green space for decades to come.
