M/WBE Letter Grade

Letter Grade Overview

DCLA, which was one of the standout agencies last year, faltered a bit this year. While continuing to do well with Asian American firms, the agency failed to meet goals in several other M/WBE categories and saw a large decrease in its spending with Black American-owned firms. This resulted in a grade of a C this year, a decrease from a B last year.

About DCLA

The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) provides financial support and technical assistance to the City’s cultural community, including the 33 City-owned cultural institutions comprising the Cultural Institutions Group (CIG) and more than 1,100 other non-profit organizations serving constituencies in all neighborhoods of the City.
