Letter Grade Overview
The Comptroller’s Office increased spending with Asian American and Hispanic American-owned firms and achieved LL 1 goals with both in goods and standard services procurements. However, the agency received failing marks with Black American-owned firms and has room to improve with Women-owned firms. Taken together, the Office grade increased from a C to a B.

The Comptroller is the City of New York’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for providing an independent voice to safeguard the fiscal health of the City, rooting out waste, fraud and abuse in City government, and ensuring the effective performance of City agencies to achieve their goals of serving the needs of all New Yorkers.
