Audits & Analyses
The Comptroller’s office provides checks and balances needed to hold City government accountable for budgeting wisely, operating efficiently, and living up to its obligations and promises. Through audits, policy reports and analysis, we are continuously examining agencies’ work to deliver services to New Yorkers. In many cases, these analyses reveal racial, gender, disability, or other disparities. These “equity audits” help to develop recommendations to make the city a more safe, affordable, and equitable place to live.
